KATSEYE Makes Late-Night Performance Debut On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”

KATSEYE hit a career first this week, performing live on late-night television for the very first time during their return visit to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Daniela Avanzini, Yoonchae Jeung, Lara Raj, and Megan Skiendiel delivered the performance, running through their single “Animal,” the Ed Sheeran co-written track that’s since climbed into the top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100. Sophia was absent from the lineup, continuing her own recently announced mental health hiatus, meaning the appearance was carried entirely by four of the group’s six members.

The visit doubled as press for their third EP, “WILD,” which dropped just two days later on August 14. During the sit-down interview portion, Lara referenced Ed Sheeran’s influence on the record directly, and the group also popped up earlier in the show filling in for various members of Fallon’s crew during his monologue, with each member taking on a different bit. It marked the group’s second trip to the show this year, following an earlier February appearance that came right after their Grammy performance.

The timing lines up with an especially packed stretch for KATSEYE, arriving the same day their concert documentary “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS” began its limited theatrical run, and just ahead of their upcoming Wildworld Tour.

[It’s amazing to see how much KATSEYE has grown since debut, I’m also surprised at how active they are as a group despite being OT4.]
