After weeks of unconfirmed leaks and TikTok speculation swirling around KATSEYE’s upcoming EP, the group’s official account, @katseyeworld, put an end to the guessing game this week with a proper preview. The clip, posted directly through the group’s verified channels, is a highlight medley stitching together short segments from across the six-track project, including a first real taste of “Hootie Frutti,” one of the more mysterious titles on the tracklist heading into release.

The timing isn’t random. KATSEYE’s third EP, “WILD,” is set to drop August 14 via HYBE x Geffen Records, and the promotional rollout has been building for weeks. The project follows “Beautiful Chaos,” the group’s sophomore EP that debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 last year, making WILD one of the more closely watched releases in the girl group’s short but fast-moving career. The lead single, “Animal,” a track co-written by Ed Sheeran and paired with a music video featuring Demi Moore, has already been out since late July, so the medley functioned as fans’ first real preview of everything else on the record.

The response was immediate. Within a short window, the post had climbed to roughly 20,000 likes and over 3,700 comments, with fans slowing down the clip frame by frame trying to catch full lyrics, production details, and vocal lines for each member. It’s a familiar pattern for KATSEYE’s fanbase, EYEKONS, who’ve spent much of the past few weeks picking apart unofficial “leaks” of varying credibility, several of which turned out to be unrelated demos or AI-generated covers falsely attributed to the group. The official medley effectively settled that confusion by giving fans something to point to directly from the source.
